1.0 FTE Secondary ELA Teacher (Grade 7-12)
Description:
To lead students toward the fulfillment of potential for intellectual, emotional, psychological and physical growth.
Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Building Principal.
- Plans a program of study that meets student needs.
- Develops a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
- Assesses the individual accomplishments of students on a regular basis.
- Attends scheduled meetings.
- Takes necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Maintains accurate, complete and correct records.
- Accepts responsibility for education activities as assigned.
- Attends departmental and staff meetings as required.
- Meets and instructs assigned classes and extra classroom assignments and responsibilities upon request of the supervisor or principal.
- Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress and maintains accurate and complete records.
